The pharmacist

The exhibits in our museum have been selected to give an overview of the many facets and competencies the job of a pharmacist entails. Microscopes, spindles, preparation kits, chemical samples – they all highlight the responsibility and importance of the pharmacist’s role in checking and verifying the quality and authenticity of ingredients.

Our historical instruments for measuring uric acid levels, for example, also show how much this role has evolved over the centuries: from a small scale manufacturer of pharmaceutical drugs in the past to a provider of a wide range of health care services in present times.
