Meet the team
Our museum has been founded and is privately run by recipe!, a non-profit society that was established in June 2001. Its name (and, of course, the English word) derives from the Latin instruction that features doctors’ prescriptions for centuries, telling the pharmacist to "take" the respective drug and to hand it over to the patient.
The pharmacy ("Stadtapotheke") in Brixen (Bressanone) has handed over not only its historic collection but also valuable exhibition space in an equally historic location to recipe!. The society aims at running and developing the museum in order to provide information, enable knowledge transfer and scientific research.
